Alexa Updates its Web Ranking System

Alexa a well known search engine has updated its web ranking system. In the new updates, it combines data from various sources to present users a better way of website popularity among the entire internet users.

Earlier, the Alexa Rankings was based only on an analysis of internet usage of only those people who used the Alexa Toolbar.

However, the Alexa toolbar users' interests and surfing habits could differ from those of the rest of the internet user, so the company decided to improve its ranking algorithms.
